What was the purpose of the initial transformation?

We have shared a clear objective with the management of Elis since our acquisition: consolidate the company’s dominant position in France in terms of its traditional businesses, continue to innovate in neighboring markets to foster growth and, lastly, roll out the French model internationally based on a significant commercial and industrial presence and recognized expertise.

How will Eurazeo accompany Elis in its transformation?

Beginning in 2007, and despite a slumping economy, Eurazeo largely supported the company’s investment effort, from both a business and industry perspective, in order to back the group’s growth and productivity efforts. Eurazeo has also given impetus to the company’s acquisition policy. Elis has carried out 43 acquisitions since 2007, including 23 outside of France. It has thus been able to optimize its geographical coverage in France and abroad, augment its service ranges and penetrate new markets. This is demonstrated by the acquisitions of Atmosfera (February 2014) or Lavebras (May 2017), providing Elis with the number one position in an expanding Brazilian market.

The success of the IPO in 2015 marked an important step in the development of the company. Eurazeo continues to support Elis in its structuring projects, as evidenced by its participation in 2017 in the Elis capital increase to finance the acquisitions of Indusal and Lavebras.

- CSR Initiative example -

The Elis group’s CSR policy is an integral part of its “Operational Excellence” strategic axis. As part of its policy, Elis has set the goal of reducing its water and energy and detergent consumption by 25% between 2010 and 2020. It achieved its objectives on all three indicators in 2017 by virtue of a proactive policy and the involvement of all operations.
