Commitments and recognitions

Affirming its ambition to integrate ESG issues throughout the investment cycle, Eurazeo is involved in several established organizations and committed within recognized initiatives such as the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the Global Compact of the United NationsFrance Invest- French Association of Investors for Growth or the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society.

Rating agencies are also a recognition tool of the performance and commitment of the company. Eurazeo is integrated into five reference ESG indices: Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI), Euronext Vigeo EirisMSCI WorldFTSE4Good and Stoxx ESG Leaders.

Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)

In December 2011, Eurazeo has signed the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) of the United Nations, confirming its ambition to incorporate extra-financial criteria in its management, its investment strategy and its portfolio companies.

Eurazeo is a signatory of the UN Global Compact since 2014 and has achieved Advanced level from its first Communication on Progress (COP).

Eurazeo also encourages its subsidiaries to join the United Nations Global Compact.

ETHIBEL SUSTAINABILITY INDEX (ESI) EXCELLENCE EUROPE

Since September 2014, Eurazeo’s actions are listed in the Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Europe .

The ESI Excellence Europe index selects the 200 European companies best rated by Vigeo on their performance in social responsibility. Eurazeo the only private-equity company in this index.

EURONEXT VIGEO EIRIS

Since June 2016, Eurazeo’s actions were reintegrated in the Euronext Vigeo Europe 120 and in the Euronext Vigeo Eurozone 120 indeces.. Eurazeo had entry in this index in September 2012 (under its former name ASPI Eurozone).

Since June 2018, Eurazeo is also present in the Euronext Vigeo World 120 and Euronext Vigeo France 20 indices.

Bringing together the  most advanced listed companies in over more than 300 ESG indicators, theses indeces are  international benchmarks for investors wishing to commit themselves to CSR. Among the companies present in this index, Eurazeo is distinguished by being the only investment company.

MSCI WORLD

Since May 2017, Eurazeo’s presence was confirmed in the MSCI WORLD ESG LEADERS and in the MSCI WORLD LOW CARBON LEADERS.

These indexes  include, respectively, companies that are leaders in their sectors regarding their environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and companies that have a significantly lower carbon exposure than the market average.

FTSE4GOOD GLOBAL & EUROPE

Since July 2017, Eurazeo’s presence in the indexes FTSE4Good Global and Europe was confirmed.

This index series measures the performance of socially responsible companies on environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.

STOXX GLOBAL ESG LEADERS

Since septembre 2017, Eurazeo’s presence in the STOXX Global ESG Leaders index was confirmed.

This index includes the world’s leading companies in environmental, social and governance criteria based on ESG indicators provided by the rating agency Sustainalytics.

ETHIBEL PIONEER AND EXCELLENCE

Eurazeo’s presence in the Ethibel EXCELLENCE Investment Register index was reconfirmed in June 2017. Since June 28th 2016, Eurazeo is also part of the Ethibel PIONEER Investment Register.

The Ethibel PIONEER Investment Register index includes companies that are leading figures in their sector in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

This selection in both indexes awarded by Forum ETHIBEL demonstrate that Eurazeo is a leader in its sector in terms of CSR.

France Invest- French Association of Investors for Growth

Eurazeo is deeply involved in the dissemination of CSR in the private equity sector.

Olivier Millet, Member of the Executive Board of Eurazeo and Chairman of the Executive Board of Eurazeo PME, contributed to the creation of the ESG Commission (Environment, Social, Governance) of France Invest in 2012, commission that he has presided until 2015.

INITIATIVE CLIMATE 2020 (IC20)

Along with four other private equity companies, Eurazeo launched the “Initiative Climate 2020” (ou iC20), the first long-term approach allowing private equity investors to manage and reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of their portfolio companies.

Since 2017, Noëlla de Bermingham, Eurazeo’s CSR Manager, is in charge of the initiative’s coordination and steering within the ESG Commission of France Invest (Investors Association for Growth).

INVEST EUROPE

At European level, Eurazeo PME is an active member of Invest Europe, an European association of private equity and venture capital firms. Erwann Le Ligné, member of the Executive Board of Eurazeo PME, is Deputy Chair of the responsible investment working group. He is also in charge of the climate working group.

WOMEN’S FORUM FOR THE ECONOMY AND SOCIETY - RISING TALENTS

Eurazeo believes that gender equality is a factor in the performance and competitiveness of companies. As such, since 2008, it has lent its support to the Rising Talents program, a unique network of high-potential young women created through the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society.

Eurazeo is actively involved in the selection process of the 20 young women who join the network each year. Virginie Morgon, CEO of Eurazeo, co-hosts each year this initiative.

 

FINANCI'ELLES

Concurrent with the launch of internal gender equality network, Eurazeo Pluriels, Eurazeo joined the Financi’Elles, network, one of the leading women’s business networks in the financial sector.

GRANDS PRIX DE LA TRANSPARENCE

Eurazeo was awarded in October 2014, the prize for Best registration document in the framework of des Grands Prix of Transparency2014 all sectors and categories (sample CAC 40 and SBF 120).

Receiving this award, only two years after obtaining the Grand Transparency Award for the Financial Companies sector, Eurazeo confirms its place among the best companies on the criterion of transparency of regulated information, crowning the continuous efforts made for several years in this matter.

PRIVATE EQUITY MAGAZINE

In 2016 and in 2018, Eurazeo was awarded the prize ESG Sustainable Development Grand Prix organized by Private Equity Magazine.
