French leader in lasers and opto-electronic components
3S Photonics is a French high technology company and a former subsidiary of Alcatel. It manufactures optical components and opto-electronics for underwater telecom applications, the company’s historic core business, and terrestrial broadband telecom applications. It also designs and assembles fiber lasers for industrial, medical and defense applications.
The company has three production centers, virtually unique in the world, located in France, specializing in the manufacture of laser chips and amplifiers, and in Canada, for the production of optical fibers.
